Sectoral Bank Credit Growth Accelerates
Bank Credit Data Release – September 2026: RBI reported that non-food bank credit grew 19.1% year-on-year as of September 30, compared with 11.2% a year earlier. Credit growth accelerated across agriculture and industry (both 19.5%), services (28.3%) and personal loans (17.3%); the release reported no penalties, regulatory actions or policy changes.
