Roblox said it has released results for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 and provided guidance for the fourth quarter. Its shareholder letter also highlighted a rapid rise in AI use across game development, with new creation tools helping developers build and publish games more quickly.
The material available here does not include the quarter’s financial figures or the numerical fourth-quarter outlook. Its detailed discussion focuses on AI adoption, creator activity and two new initiatives: Roblox Everywhere and “The Universal Player.”
-
AI tools are becoming common among popular games. Over the past month, more than 80% of Roblox’s 100 most-engaged games used AI tools in development, the company said. Daily asset uploads to Roblox’s cloud tripled month over month.
-
Use among top creators has accelerated. Since the second quarter, time spent by top creators using Roblox’s AI tools—including Build and Studio Assistant—and external AI through Roblox’s MCP server tripled. The number of creators using the MCP server daily grew nearly fivefold.
-
AI-made games have reached a large audience. Roblox said Break and Steal an Egg and Huss Valley, both created almost entirely with AI, entered the platform’s top 20 games by concurrent players.
-
Build has drawn early interest. Since its alpha launch in New Zealand, Singapore, Serbia and Thailand, more than 500,000 users have tried Build, Roblox’s prompt-based game-creation tool, and published more than 70,000 games.
-
The company is positioning its platform for a larger wave of AI-created content. Roblox says its infrastructure, discovery, distribution, economy and safety systems can help creators reach players as the time and effort needed to make games falls. It cited a platform audience of more than 130 million daily active users.
-
Two initiatives were introduced. Roblox named Roblox Everywhere and “The Universal Player” as new initiatives, but the available text does not explain their features or planned rollout.
The figures point to growing creator use of AI tools and a rising volume of content on Roblox. The company’s stated strategy is to pair easier game creation with its existing distribution, monetization and safety capabilities; the announcement does not provide enough detail to assess the new initiatives or the financial outlook.
