Rivian announced its third-quarter 2026 financial results and scheduled a webcast to discuss them. The announcement also sets out a leadership transition in the finance function: Vice President of Finance Derek Mulvey will become interim chief financial officer on Oct. 30, following the previously announced departure of the current CFO.
- Quarterly results: Rivian’s results cover the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026. The earnings release and presentation were published on Oct. 29, but the materials provided here do not include the financial figures, so revenue, profitability, cash flow and other performance measures cannot be detailed.
- Webcast: The company scheduled an audio webcast for Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. Pacific time (5 p.m. Eastern) to discuss the results.
- Interim CFO: Mulvey, 36, has been Rivian’s vice president of finance since March 2025. He previously held finance and investor-relations roles at the company and worked as a vice president at J.P. Morgan.
- Compensation: In connection with the interim appointment, Mulvey’s annual base salary was increased to $400,000, with a target annual bonus equal to 40% of base salary.
- Stock award: Rivian granted Mulvey 125,392 restricted stock units on Sept. 21. Half are scheduled to vest on Feb. 15, 2027, and half on Aug. 15, 2027, subject to his continued service.
Mulvey’s appointment is interim, so the announcement establishes who will lead the finance function after the current CFO’s departure but does not name a permanent successor.
