Cheniere Energy reported $1.9 billion in adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter and raised its full-year 2026 financial guidance, citing higher expected results. The LNG exporter also increased its quarterly dividend by more than 12% and reported continued share repurchases as part of its capital-allocation program.
Key details
- Third-quarter results: Revenue was $6.17 billion, net income was $1.17 billion, consolidated adjusted EBITDA was $1.90 billion and distributable cash flow was $1.23 billion.
- Results for the first nine months: Revenue totaled $17.77 billion, net income was $736 million, adjusted EBITDA was $6.04 billion and distributable cash flow was $4.07 billion.
- Higher 2026 guidance: Cheniere now expects full-year adjusted EBITDA of $8.75 billion to $9.25 billion, up from its previous range of $7.90 billion to $8.40 billion. Its distributable cash flow forecast rose to $6.05 billion to $6.55 billion, from $5.30 billion to $5.80 billion.
- Dividend increase: The board declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.625 per share, more than 12% above the prior quarter. It is payable November 17 to shareholders of record at the close of business November 9.
- Capital allocation and buybacks: Cheniere said it deployed about $1.5 billion under its capital-allocation plan in the third quarter and $3.6 billion in the first nine months. The activity included repurchasing approximately 2.8 million shares in the quarter and 7.7 million shares year to date.
The revised guidance raises the company’s expected ranges for both adjusted EBITDA and distributable cash flow. The higher dividend increases cash returned directly to shareholders, while the reported repurchases reduce the number of shares outstanding.
