LiveWire Group reported higher third-quarter 2026 sales, with revenue up 38% from a year earlier as unit sales grew in both its electric motorcycle and STACYC businesses. The company still recorded an operating loss and a net loss, though both narrowed modestly. For the first nine months of the year, cash used in operations and free cash flow outflow were each 16% lower than in the same period of 2025.
- Third-quarter sales rose: LiveWire sold 7,233 units, up 21% from 5,989 a year earlier. Revenue increased to $7.9 million from $5.7 million.
- Losses narrowed slightly: Operating loss was $17.5 million, compared with $18.8 million a year earlier. Net loss improved to $18.6 million from $19.4 million, while adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to $14.7 million from $16.5 million.
- Factors affecting net loss: The year-over-year improvement included a $0.9 million increase in income tax benefit. It was partly offset by a $1.5 million increase in related-party interest expense.
- Cash outflow eased year to date: Through September 30, net cash used in operating activities was $38.3 million, versus $45.6 million in the first nine months of 2025. Free cash flow outflow was $40.5 million, compared with $48.2 million.
- STACYC sales grew: The electric balance-bike and electric-bike business sold 6,992 units in the quarter, up 20% year over year. Revenue rose 9% to $5.2 million from $4.7 million.
- Electric motorcycle market position: LiveWire reported an 80% share of the U.S. on-road electric motorcycle market for models rated at 50 kilowatts or more, year to date through September.
- New models began reaching dealers: The first S4 Honcho Trail units were delivered in the U.S. in August. The first S4 Honcho Street units reached U.S. dealers in October. LiveWire expected Trail deliveries in Europe to begin in October, followed by Street deliveries in November.
What this means: LiveWire’s sales growth and lower cash outflow show improvement from the prior-year period, but the company remained loss-making in the third quarter. The reported results do not include a forecast for future sales or profitability.
