ManpowerGroup has appointed Lidia Fonseca, a former Pfizer technology executive, to its board, effective Nov. 1. The addition expands the board from 12 members to 13 and brings experience in enterprise technology, artificial intelligence and business transformation as the workforce-services company advances its own transformation strategy.
- Fonseca was Pfizer’s executive vice president and chief digital and technology officer from January 2019 through April 2026. She led its digital, data and technology strategy, including building and expanding the company’s enterprise AI program. She is now a senior adviser to Pfizer’s CEO and serves on Medtronic’s board.
- Earlier in her career, she held senior technology roles at Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp and worked in operations and executive leadership at Philips Healthcare.
- Fonseca will not initially serve on a ManpowerGroup board committee.
- Her 2026 director compensation will be prorated. The standard annual package for non-employee directors includes a $120,000 cash retainer, which may be taken as deferred stock, and a deferred-stock award worth about $180,000, with restricted stock available as an alternative. Directors also receive reimbursement for board-related travel.
- ManpowerGroup will provide Fonseca an indemnification agreement on substantially the same terms as those used for its other outside directors.
What changes: The appointment adds a director with senior corporate technology and AI experience to ManpowerGroup’s board, but does not change board leadership or committee assignments at this stage.
