Precision BioSciences reported third-quarter 2026 results and updates on two clinical programs: PBGENE-HBV for chronic hepatitis B and PBGENE-DMD for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The company’s main near-term clinical milestone is an upcoming presentation of hepatitis B trial data; it has also begun dosing the first participant in its DMD study.
- PBGENE-HBV: The company plans to present late-breaking results from the ELIMINATE-B trial at the AASLD Liver Meeting on November 8 at 2:15 p.m. Mountain time. The presentation will be delivered by the trial’s lead investigator. The data abstract is scheduled for release November 5.
- PBGENE-DMD: The first patient has been dosed in the Phase 1/2 FUNCTION-DMD study at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The company is targeting initial safety data by year-end 2026.
- Cash and runway: Precision had $108 million in cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash as of September 30. It expects that balance to fund operations through 2028 and support multiple clinical data readouts from both programs.
The disclosed updates put clinical progress and funding capacity at the center of the quarter. Precision expects its cash balance to cover the period in which it anticipates multiple readouts from PBGENE-HBV and PBGENE-DMD.
