Greenlane Holdings has added Peter Kampian as an independent director, effective Oct. 27. The company, which is focused on accumulating BERA tokens and participating in the Berachain network, said Kampian brings more than 30 years of finance, public-company and board experience.
The appointment expands Greenlane’s board to four directors. Kampian had not been assigned to a board committee as of Nov. 2, when Greenlane announced the appointment.
Key details
- Kampian is a Chartered Professional Accountant who has worked as a chief financial officer, director and adviser for public and private companies in energy, cannabis, clean technology and mining.
- He has led Edge Financial Consulting Services since 2009 and has held finance roles at companies including Algonquin Power & Utilities and Mettrum Health.
- He is a director of Aduro Clean Technologies, where he chairs the audit committee, and Matador Technologies, a bitcoin-focused company. He previously served on the board of Statehouse Holdings.
- Greenlane will pay him an annual cash fee of $60,000 in quarterly installments. He received no equity award upon joining the board.
- The company plans to enter into its standard indemnification agreement with him.
Implications
Kampian’s appointment adds public-company financial and audit experience to Greenlane’s board, including experience at another digital-asset treasury company. No committee assignment was announced, so the appointment does not, on its own, indicate a change in committee leadership or responsibilities.
