U.S. Bancorp’s Vice Chair and Chief Risk Officer, Jodi L. Richard, resigned effective October 23 to take a role at another publicly traded company. The bank has appointed Troy W. Remington, its executive vice president and chief credit officer, as interim chief risk officer while it seeks a permanent successor.
- Richard’s departure was not related to a disagreement with U.S. Bancorp over its operations, policies or practices.
- Remington will oversee the chief risk officer role on an interim basis alongside his existing responsibilities as chief credit officer.
- The bank is beginning a process to select and appoint a successor. The announcement did not provide a timeline for that appointment.
The change leaves U.S. Bancorp’s top risk position in interim hands during the search for a permanent chief risk officer.
