Mobileye reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $492 million, down 2% from a year earlier, while operating performance improved and the company raised the midpoint of its full-year revenue outlook. The autonomous-driving technology supplier also highlighted stronger EyeQ shipments than the broader auto market and new wins for higher-value driver-assistance systems.
The update combines quarterly results with signs of progress in Mobileye’s strategy to expand the technology and services it provides per vehicle, as well as its efforts to commercialize robotaxis.
Key details
- Quarterly earnings: GAAP diluted loss per share was 8 cents; adjusted diluted earnings per share were 11 cents. Operating loss improved 25% year over year, while adjusted operating income improved 20%.
- 2026 revenue outlook: Mobileye raised the midpoint by $13 million and narrowed its forecast to $1.995 billion to $2.020 billion, implying growth of 5% to 7% for the year.
- Profitability outlook: At the midpoint, full-year guidance improved by 0.4% for GAAP operating loss and 1% for adjusted operating income.
- Cash generation and liquidity: Mobileye generated $303 million in net cash from operating activities in the first nine months of 2026. It ended the period with $1.5 billion in cash, cash equivalents, marketable securities and deposits.
- EyeQ shipments outpaced the auto market: EyeQ shipment volume rose 11% in the first nine months compared with the same period in 2025, while global vehicle production declined an estimated 1%. Mobileye expects shipments to its 10 largest customers to increase 7% for the full year, even as their combined vehicle production is expected to fall 5%. The shipment outlook includes changes in customers’ safety-stock inventory.
- New wins target higher-value systems: Mobileye said it won Cloud-Enhanced ADAS programs with a top-five global automaker from Asia and a top-10 Japanese automaker. The systems combine front-camera technology with Mobileye’s Road Experience Management mapping and road-intelligence capabilities for high-volume Level 2+ systems.
- Stellantis program expanded: A previously announced Cloud-Enhanced ADAS program for selected future Stellantis vehicles in the U.S. starting in 2027 has been extended to include European platforms.
- Market opportunity: Mobileye expects worldwide volume for Level 2+ highway hands-free driving systems to grow at about a 20% compound annual rate through the end of the decade. The company said its EyeQ system is in the majority of vehicles produced in North America and Europe in this category in 2026.
- Robotaxi progress: Mobileye pointed to permits, public deployments and partner vehicle selections as steps toward commercialization. It said achieving driver-out performance remains a key milestone.
What changes for investors
The higher revenue midpoint reflects Mobileye’s stronger-than-expected shipment outlook, while the narrower range signals a more defined full-year forecast. The quarterly figures also show improved operating performance despite a modest revenue decline.
Strategically, the new ADAS wins and the expanded Stellantis program support Mobileye’s push to provide more technology and services per vehicle, rather than relying only on supplying driving-system hardware. The company says broader participation in the value chain is intended to support deployment and recurring revenue alongside its capital-light self-driving-system supply business.
