Boston Scientific reported third-quarter 2026 sales of $5.138 billion, up 1.5% from a year earlier. Profit per share declined: GAAP earnings were $0.40, compared with $0.51 a year ago, while adjusted earnings were $0.73 versus $0.75.
The company also reported U.S. regulatory clearances for three device offerings, started enrollment in a clinical trial of a next-generation stroke-prevention device, and highlighted new procedure codes for renal denervation. CEO Mike Mahoney described the year as challenging and said the company’s teams had worked to restore operations and support customers and patients after a cybersecurity incident.
Financial and business performance
- Sales growth was modest. Revenue increased 1.5% on reported, operational and organic bases compared with the third quarter of 2025.
- Net income and earnings per share were lower. GAAP net income attributable to common stockholders was $582 million, or $0.40 a share, versus $755 million, or $0.51 a share, a year earlier. Adjusted EPS was $0.73, down from $0.75.

Products, clinical research and coding
- WATCHMAN trial enrollment began. Boston Scientific started enrolling patients in the Elite AF trial, which will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of its next-generation WATCHMAN Elite left atrial appendage closure device. The study involves people with non-valvular atrial fibrillation who are eligible for anticoagulation but have a reason to seek a non-drug alternative to reduce stroke risk.
- Two kidney-stone technologies received FDA clearance. The Navigator Flex Ureteral Access Sheath Set is designed to use suction to remove stone debris. The LithoVue Elite single-use digital flexible ureteroscope displays real-time fluid temperature alongside video during a procedure.
- A peripheral artery disease device received clearance for a broader size range. The FDA cleared an expanded size offering of the SEISMIQ Intravascular Lithotripsy Peripheral Catheter for treating severely calcified peripheral artery disease above and below the knee.
- Renal denervation received new procedure codes. The American Medical Association assigned Category I CPT codes for renal denervation devices, including Boston Scientific’s investigational TIVUS system.
The quarter’s figures show sales growth alongside lower year-over-year GAAP and adjusted EPS. The product updates span clinical testing, regulatory clearances and procedure coding.
